Mobile subcutaneous nodule on the thigh of a 29-year-old male

David Cowart, MD; Nicholas Logemann, DO

Question 1:

A 29-year-old male presented with a solitary asymptomatic slow-growing subcutaneous lesion on the right distal thigh for two years. He was otherwise healthy with no known medical conditions or history of skin cancer. Physical exam revealed a 3 cm x 2 cm rubbery mobile subcutaneous skin-colored mass without any overlying skin changes. Biopsy of the lesion revealed the following histopathology (Figures 1-2).
