Call for Short Course Proposals

Thank you for your interest. The call for proposals is now closed. All proposal submitters will be notified in March 2023.

Dermatopathologists are invited to submit proposals for Short Course IV to be presented as part of the 60th Annual Meeting, and two short courses for the 61st Annual Meeting.

Proposals must be submitted online.
Submission Deadline: Monday, February 27, 2023, at Noon Central Time. No exceptions will be made to the deadline
.

Your proposal should include:
  • Your name, institutional affiliation and contact information.
  • The title of the course.
  • Course description, 2-4 sentences or one short paragraph.
  • An outline of the course, in 200 words or less, including potential faculty and range of topics you plan to include.

What you should know before you submit a proposal:

Proposals will be considered for a one-year commitment, either during the 60th or 61st Annual Meeting only.

While proposals for this year's meeting will be considered for Short Course IV, which is scheduled on Sunday, October 8 between 8:00 a.m.-Noon Central (3.5 hours with a 30-minute break), course assignments for the 61st Annual Meeting will be determined in December.

The 2023 Short Course IV will be held in person at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois, USA. 

The ASDP Program Committee will evaluate and select proposals. Proposal submitters will be notified by email in March.

CME Requirements, Disclosures and Agreements:

The ASDP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). As such, we are required to meet the ACCME’s expectations for our practice of continuing medical education. This means that everyone in a position to control the educational content of the ASDP meeting must disclose certain relationships and agree to participate in and plan the meeting according to the policies set forth by the Society to ensure that this activity is of the highest standard. The ASDP has put together the CME Activity Policies Manual to assist you in understanding the policies related to our educational activities. Proposal submitters should read the Society’s CME Activity Policies Manual before proceeding.

Meeting Registration:

All course directors and faculty are required to register for the meeting and pay the meeting registration fee. It is the course director's responsibility to communicate this information to the faculty.
